As Barcelona patiently await Nico Williams’ final decision on his future, the club are quietly working on the deal to sign their other top attacking target, Dani Olmo.

Recent reports indicate that the Catalans had submitted their second proposal to sign the Spanish international, who is valued at around €60 million by RB Leipzig.

However, Barça’s offer was once again knocked back by the Bundesliga giants, who are not happy with the valuation offered by the Catalan outfit.

Barcelona weighing another offer for Olmo

A recent report from COPE has offered more updates on Barcelona’s pursuit of Dani Olmo, notably claiming that the Blaugrana are working on another offer for the Spaniard.

As per the report, Barça’s second offer was valued at around €50 million. But Leipzig rejected the advance, as they are steadfast in receiving €60 million for the attacker.

Moreover, the Bundesliga giants were not too happy with the payment method proposed by Barcelona, who want to pay the fee through various instalments.

Barcelona’s qualms with Olmo’s valuation

The report adds that despite Barcelona’s desire to table another offer for Olmo, the club have no desire to meet Leipzig’s valuation of €60 million.

Olmo, for his part, is currently holidaying after a successful Euro 2024 campaign. He has reportedly reached an agreement with Barça, which was hardly a surprise.

After spending many years in Germany, Olmo appears keen on returning to Spain. A return to Camp Nou, to that end, could be a fairytale move for the Leipzig attacker.

However, with Barcelona unwilling to meet his valuation, Olmo’s future hangs in the balance.
