Joan Laporta has found himself in the crosshairs of many in recent weeks, after he spearheaded Barcelona’s legal fight to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.
Laporta was ultimately successful as CSD issued a precautionary measure for Barcelona, to which the president reacted in a very expressive manner.
Laporta’s reaction, in fact, has not gone well with some members of the RFEF, with new president Rafael Louzan considering taking action against the Barcelona president.
Laporta on registration and his celebration
In his recent statements, though, Laporta has once again fired shots, showing that he is not ready to back down under pressure.
The Barcelona president openly called out the regulators for injustice against the club, when they denied registration to Olmo and Victor.
“This Super Cup has been surrounded by controversy, which is the registration of some players, which fortunately has already been resolved and they will be available for our coach.
“We could have avoided this situation if the regulations were applied correctly. But anyway, the fact is that it has now been resolved and they will be able to play in the final,” he said (h/t SPORT).

Laporta went on to talk about the Spanish Super Cup final tomorrow, where Barcelona will take on Real Madrid.
“On many occasions, we have had to play the final of this competition against our sporting rival and the fact that these finals are between Barça and Madrid makes them exciting.
“It is a match that is played all over the world regardless of the competition in which it is held. And it is always an honour and a source of pride to face Real Madrid in a football match that will surely be exciting. A world-class match,” he concluded.
It must be noted that Laporta was supposed to meet Real Madrid president Florentino Perez in Jeddah tonight.
However, the meeting will not take place as Perez does not arrive in Saudi Arabia until late evening.
