With each passing day, it is becoming very clear that Vitor Roque does not have a future at FC Barcelona and is bound for the exit doors this summer.

Just seven months after joining the club from Athletico Paranaense, the 19-year-old attacking prodigy will be on the move, having failed to click during his time in Catalonia.

As far as potential destinations for the young Brazilian are concerned, Serie A giants Lazio appear to be his preferred option, but Al Hilal from Saudi Arabia are also pushing hard for his signature.

Roque will consider Al Hilal for a huge contract

Roque is understood to have already turned down two approaches from Al Hilal as he prioritises staying in Europe.

However, according to SPORT, the 19-year-old would consider moving to the Saudi Arabian club if he is offered an ‘outrageously high’ contract.

Al Hilal initially approached Barcelona with a loan-to-buy offer but the Catalans do not want such an arrangement and will only consider a direct sale for a fee of at least €40 million.

While that is not a problem, Al Hilal encountered issues in convincing Roque to make the switch.

The Middle Eastern outfit tabled a lucrative proposal worth more than double the salary that he currently earns at Barcelona, but it was not enough to convince the Brazilian. He will only consider a move if Al Hilal table an outrageously high contract offer.

However, the Saudi giants are not prepared to go over the top for a player who has potential but has only played a handful of matches at the highest level. As such, there is a chance that the operation could completely break off.

What are Roque’s other options?

As mentioned earlier, Lazio are interested in Roque and the player sees the option as a favourable one. But they are offering €20 million for 50% of his rights – a proposal that does not appeal to Barcelona.

Meanwhile, FC Porto are still working on signing the young forward on loan, but such an arrangement is not seen in a favourable light either by the player or by Barcelona.
