Barcelona’s young forward, Ansu Fati, is on the road to recovery, and according to reports from AS journalist Javier Miguel, his rehabilitation is going well.

The hope is that he will be given the green light to return to action within the next two weeks. This timeline is crucial as it nearly coincides with the end of the summer transfer window, which closes on August 30th.

This situation leaves Barcelona with a small window of opportunity to make a decision about his future, with Sevilla showing keen interest in the player.

Barcelona are working on his return

Because of this situation, Barcelona’s medical team is working diligently to ensure that Ansu is ready to play before the transfer window closes. Their goal is to have him fully fit within the next two weeks, just in time for potential transfer negotiations.

It must be noted that Ansu sustained an injury to the sole of his right foot during a training session before the pre-season. While the club initially kept the details vague, it was later revealed that the injury was plantar fasciitis.

This type of injury can be particularly tricky, as the recovery time can vary widely—from as little as three weeks to as long as three months—depending on the severity of the case.

Barcelona want to part ways with Ansu Fati

Meanwhile, it must be remembered that Hansi Flick has given the green light for Fati’s potential departure

Barcelona are in urgent need of freeing up wages, especially since their new signing, Dani Olmo, has yet to be registered.

Additionally, if the club manages to bring in a new reinforcement for the left wing—whether it’s Nico Williams or Luis Diaz, both of whom have been heavily linked—Ansu could find himself in a crowded position, further complicating his situation.
