Even after the signing of Dani Olmo, FC Barcelona are actively looking for reinforcements in the attacking department.

The club’s primary target this summer was Nico Williams, but the Spanish international looks set to continue at Athletic Club.

This has compelled Barça to look at other alternatives in the market, with Kingsley Coman emerging as one of the top targets.

Barcelona were reportedly eyeing a swoop for the Bayern Munich forward this summer, but their operation was complicated by the fact that the player himself prefers a move to PSG.

PSG rule out Coman move

But in a significant development, it appears PSG have ruled out the signing of Kingsley Coman this summer.

According to SPORT, PSG do not plan on entering the bidding to sign the Bayern Munich forward, having recently acquired the services of Desire Doue.

This has opened the door for Barcelona to make a move for the French international this summer.

Coman available on a loan deal

Perhaps a bigger boost for Barcelona is the fact that Bayern Munich are open to sending Coman away on a loan deal this summer.

This could bode well for the Catalans, who are not in a position to make yet another big money transfer. However, Bayern want interested parties to meet the player’s full salary, which stands at around €17 million gross.

Barcelona are not in a position to do and therefore, the forward must take a significant pay cut if he is to join the Catalan camp.

The next couple of weeks, therefore, could prove to be critical as Barcelona look to secure a new attacker before the transfer window comes to a close.
