Barcelona are bracing themselves for a busy summer ahead. The club are expected to bring in multiple new faces. But at the same time, many existing stars may leave the club.

One of the top candidates who may leave Camp Nou in the coming summer is Mika Faye, the Barcelona defensive prodigy who has received countless proposals from top clubs across Europe.

Barcelona receive many offers for Faye

As reported by SPORT, Barcelona have received an ‘avalanche of offers’ for Mika Faye this summer.

Although the young defender is yet to make an impact in the first-team, he has impressed onlookers with his sublime performances in the youth levels.

The report adds that Barcelona have received at least eight offers for Faye, with interest coming across from Germany, France and even Spain. Premier League giants Manchester United are also expected to be in the mix.

Barcelona will not sell Faye

However, Barcelona are very clear about keeping hold of Mika Faye in the coming summer. After a recent meeting between Deco and Hansi Flick, it has been established that Barcelona will count on Faye next season.

The youngster will become a part of the pre-season camp and will be given an opportunity to prove himself in the first team.

Although there is no shortage of central defenders in the Barcelona camp right now, the club are looking for a left-footed profile and Faye fits the bill perfectly, especially amid uncertainty over the contract situation of Inigo Martinez.

Barcelona, therefore, have no desire to release Faye this summer. Even if the Catalans are forced to consider a sale, the club would like to retain a buyback clause, knowing the Senegalese international has limitless potential.
