Barcelona’s 21-year-old midfield starlet facing an uncertain future

Esport3 has confirmed that Barcelona midfielder Pablo Torre is facing a very uncertain future with the club. 

Torre, 21, recently returned to Barcelona after spending some time on loan with Girona. During his loan period, the youngster did not get as much playing time as he or the club had hoped. 

To add to his troubles, he recently had surgery for a broken bone in his left hand. This injury, specifically a fractured fifth metacarpal, required surgical intervention just a few days ago. 

Despite this, Torre is expected to return to training this week. However, his future with Barcelona remains very uncertain.

No place in an overcrowded midfield

There has been a lot of speculation about what will happen to Torre. First, it is important to remember that Torre broke his hand during a recent training session. 

Despite this injury, the young player is expected to make a comeback sooner than anticipated, which should allow him to join the team for the pre-season tour. 

However, the situation is quite complicated for him due to the strong competition he faces within the team.

To begin with, Hansi Flick has many options when it comes to choosing players for the midfield.

The team includes talented players such as Fermin Lopez, Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, Gavi, Ilkay Gundogan, and even Andreas Christensen, who has recently shown he can play as a pivot. 

Girona option ruled out

Earlier, reports were suggesting that Girona might be interested in signing Torre permanently. However, they have recently ruled out this possibility, leaving Torre in a more uncertain position. 

The only bit of good news for Torre is that he might still have a chance to participate in the pre-season tour. This could give him an opportunity to showcase his skills and try to impress the coaching staff. 

But once the regular first-team players return, Torre’s chances of securing a spot in the first team will become very slim.

In summary, Torre is in a difficult spot at Barcelona. His recent injury and the fierce competition for midfield positions make his future with the club quite uncertain. 

Although he may have a chance to play in the pre-season tour, it is unlikely that he will be able to break into the first team once all the key players are back.
