Despite losing Clement Lenglet to Atletico Madrid recently, Barcelona are still facing hurdles in their attempt to register new signing Dani Olmo, reports TV3

The outlet mentions that Lenglet’s move to Atletico Madrid, while a positive move, is not sufficient to ensure Olmo’s registration, as they still have work to do in the transfer market if they want to have him available before their upcoming match against Rayo Vallecano.

To achieve this, Barcelona need to continue working on several fronts. Firstly, they must make more player sales to ease their financial burden.

Additionally, they are looking to find a buyer for shares in Barça Vision, which is a crucial part of their financial strategy. On top of this, a new contract with Nike is also in progress, which could provide much-needed funds.

There is also the possibility that the Board of Directors may need to provide a personal guarantee to the League, similar to what they did previously when they registered Jules Kounde. This could help Barcelona in their efforts to get Olmo registered.

Work is being done across all fronts

In terms of other player movements, Vitor Roque’s exit has been confirmed, but it remains uncertain if this will have any impact on Olmo’s registration.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are in advanced discussions with WhiteBIT, a company that is expected to invest in Barça Vision. This potential partnership could help cover the financial gap left by Libero, another investor in Barça Vision.

Lastly, negotiations with Nike are progressing well, with both parties working towards a deal that would see Nike paying Barcelona €90 million per year, along with a signing bonus of €150 million.

However, it is still unclear if this agreement can be finalised in time for the Vallecano match. Barcelona must move quickly on all these fronts to ensure that Olmo can be registered and ready to play.
