The UEFA Euro 2024 proved successful for Barcelona players, with the national team boasting the most Blaugranes ultimately winning the tournament.

Despite many players rising to the occasion, it was Lamine Yamal who stole the show this summer.

With goal contributions in all four of Spain’s knockout rounds and the most assists at the tournament, he won the Young Player of the Tournament award.

The recently turned 17-year-old broke countless records at the tournament and has resultantly earned a price hike from Transfermarkt.

Lamine Yamal rises in value

Among the several players to receive an increase in their transfer value, the biggest increase of all Euro 2024 participants goes to the teenage wonder kid.

At just 17 years old, his market value has skyrocketed to €120 million, reflecting a substantial increase of €30 million from his previous valuation of €90 million.

Following a stellar club season, Yamal extended his talents to the international stage. He became the first player under 19 to surpass the €100 million mark in Transfermarkt’s history, a record that dates back to 2004.

Yamal’s rising market value clearly indicates his remarkable progress and the immense potential he continues to demonstrate.

The most expensive player at Barcelona

Lamine Yamal’s €120 million valuation makes him the player with the highest market value at FC Barcelona, surpassing peers like Pedri and Gavi.

To put it in perspective, the teenage sensation’s market value matches that of Fede Valverde and Declan Rice, is €10 million higher than Rodrygo, Lautaro Martinez, and Martin Odegaard, and €20 million more than Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, Victor Osimhen, and Harry Kane, all of whom are elite talents in Europe.

After a successful summer with Spain, Lamine Yamal will now take the upcoming weeks to rest and recharge, as he will not travel to the US for the pre-season tour.

The young winger will soon resume his quest for football supremacy in La Liga next month, eager to set new records.
