Barcelona set a deadline to decide on new manager appointment

The clock is running down for Barcelona as the season’s finish line is well in sight. With Xavi’s successor yet to be identified, Barça faces mounting pressure to secure a capable replacement to steer the team’s future.

The Catalan giants have considered an array of options thus far, but Barcelona have yet to reach a consensus over the team’s next manager.

In the last six weeks, Deco has been busy shortlisting candidates for the role. As the sporting director, he has explored various coaching options, assessing candidates and favoring certain ones.

However, while Deco has a clear vision regarding his preferences, the final decision will be a collaborative effort between him and club president Joan Laporta.

Barcelona will reach a decision soon

Indeed, according to SPORT Barcelona will make the final decision regarding the new manager by the end of this month.

A direct meeting between Barça and one of the selected coaches is scheduled for during the upcoming international break to discuss the long-term project and consider everyone’s thoughts.

Some agents are making a lot of effort to position their representatives; nevertheless, some names have not been made public and may still have possibilities.

Options on the table

As per the information, there is a significant likelihood that one of the German trio comprising Julian Nagelsmann, Thomas Tuchel, and Hansi Flick will assume leadership at the helm, with Nagelsmann reportedly gathering the most consensus from the club.

Roberto De Zerbi has been frequently linked with the Blaugrana too, as his ability to nurture young talents and possession-oriented style of play appeal to Barça.

But until the club engages in direct discussions with the potential candidates and finalizes arrangements, everything remains speculative.
