Barcelona manager Hansi Flick may allow Pablo Torre to leave the club on loan during the January transfer window, according to SPORT

It is said that while Flick appreciates Torre’s efforts and talent, he recognises the challenges the young midfielder faces in securing regular playing time within the squad.

The situation has raised questions about his future at Barcelona, especially since he has not featured in a single match for over a month.

Club is happy but there’s no place

Torre has shown great commitment and determination, and both Flick and the club’s management are pleased with his attitude. However, the intense competition in his position has left him on the sidelines, with at least two players ahead of him in the pecking order.

The return of injured players has only added to the difficulty of finding minutes for Torre, despite his clear potential and the trust the club has in his abilities.

Flick is reportedly concerned about the possibility of Torre stagnating due to a lack of opportunities, but the final decision on his future will rest with the player.

During the preseason, Torre understood his role within the team and expressed his willingness to fight for a place in the starting lineup. Initially, he earned some playing time when the squad was dealing with injuries.

However, since his last appearance against Sevilla, he has not been called upon. Despite this, he remains focused on continuing his journey with Barcelona, at least for now.

Interest is plenty

According to sources, several top-tier clubs, including Celta Vigo, have shown interest in signing Torre on loan in January. In fact, Celta are reportedly among the frontrunners if he decides to seek regular playing time elsewhere.

Barcelona, meanwhile, are open to Torre exploring new opportunities but will not pressure him into making a decision. Ultimately, the club values Torre’s contributions and trusts him to make the best decision for his career.

While they would prefer to see him playing more frequently, they will respect his choice, whether he opts to stay and compete for minutes or leave on loan to gain experience.
