Barcelona are moving quickly to arrange the departure of Ansu Fati, according to SPORT, as the young forward has struggled to impress Hansi Flick, and as a result, Barça are speeding up their efforts to finalise his exit.

It is said that the club is under pressure to reduce their wage bill to make room for new signings, with Ansu at the forefront of this operation. The urgency of the situation means that his departure could be finalised within the coming days.

Ansu’s agent is exploring market opportunities

The Catalan giants are in constant communication with Ansu’s agent, Jorge Mendes, who is exploring various loan opportunities for the player.

One potential destination that has been ruled out is Saudi Arabia. However, other clubs, including Sevilla, Benfica, Marseille, and Wolverhampton Wanderers, have expressed interest in acquiring the talented forward.

Barcelona’s main priority is to offload as much of his salary as possible while ensuring a purchase option is included at the end of the loan spell.

Ansu has had a tough run of bad luck, missing out on the chance to showcase his talents to Hansi Flick during the preseason.

However, even before these setbacks, Barcelona’s sporting department had already planned to make the young forward available for transfer

The squad is currently well-stocked with attacking players, and the team is also looking to sign a left winger, further reducing the likelihood of his securing quality minutes on the pitch.

Although he had hoped to stay and fight for his place, he is now considering the best options to revive his career elsewhere.

Interest in Ansu is plenty

As such, Sevilla have shown the most serious interest. Their coach, García Pimienta, who knows Fati well from their time together at Barcelona, has already spoken with the player and sees him as a key figure in his project.

Pimienta is confident that he can help him rediscover his best form. However, the main obstacle is financial, as Sevilla cannot afford to cover even 50% of Fati’s salary.

In addition to Sevilla, Jorge Mendes has also received inquiries from Benfica, who are looking for a new forward after confirming that Joao Felix will not be returning to the club.

Lastly, Olympique de Marseille have shown interest as well. However, all the interested clubs are considering loan deals where the financial responsibility for his salary would be shared.
