Dani Olmo has become the main focus of Barcelona’s summer transfer window over the past few days with question marks having grown over Nico Williams’ signing.

In fact, Olmo, a former La Masia player is understood to have already agreed a six-year contract with Barcelona until the summer of 2030, despite courting interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

However, an agreement with RB Leipzig over his transfer fees is proving tricky, with the Bundesliga giants having already knocked Barça back on two occasions.

Olmo’s agent to hold talks

Now, though, Fabrizio Romano reports that Olmo and his agent, Andy Bara, are flying to Leipzig today and the latter will hold talks about the player’s exit with the German outfit.

Olmo’s agent Bara is ready to discuss the terms of his departure from the club and advance negotiations between Leipzig and Barcelona.

As mentioned earlier, a contract agreement until 2030 is already in place and it is now up to the two clubs to finalise the transfer after finding common ground in talks over his fees.

Barça have had two offers turned down as Leipzig are seeking at least €60 million (fixed) for their prized asset. Furthermore, the Bundesliga club do not want payment in instalments – something that the Blaugrana insist on.

As such, Olmo’s agent will now look to mediate the negotiations so that his client’s future can be resolved at the earliest.
