Barcelona teenage prodigy could be available for €20 million amid interest from several clubs

Barcelona have no shortage of talents who are capable of performing at the highest level and could prove to be a big asset for the club in the years to come.

One of them is Mika Faye. The Senegalese defensive prodigy has enjoyed rapid growth at Barça Athletic under the leadership of Rafa Marquez.

However, in light of Pau Cubarsi’s rapid rise to prominence, Faye has yet to make an impact on the senior side. His lack of opportunities in the first team, in fact, has led to uncertainties over his future at the club.

As mentioned earlier, chances have been hard to come by for Mika Faye. And the youngster has no shortage of suitors either, with top European clubs following his situation.

According to Foot Mercato, Barcelona consider Faye a key prospect for the future. However, given the club’s ongoing economic downturn, they will not rule out a sale for the young defender.

A fee of around €20 million could be enough to entice the Catalans, who are desperately looking for new sources of revenue in order to return to the 1:1 rule.

A new meeting set to take place soon

The report largely suggests that Barcelona are undecided over Faye’s future, given the fact that the youngster might prove to be crucial in the first should someone like Ronald Araujo leave the club.

Barcelona sporting director Deco has been following Faye’s situation for quite some time. As per the report, the Catalans are set to hold a new meeting with the player’s agent in the coming weeks to further discuss his situation at Camp Nou.

Faye is not the only player facing an uncertain future at Camp Nou. Someone like Frenkie de Jong is also unsure about his future at the club, although his potential suitor PSG have recently backed out from the race.
