Barcelona capped a positive week with a narrow 1-0 win over Deportivo Alaves, where Lamine Yamal stole the spotlight with his eye-catching dribbles.
The win helped Barcelona close the gap at the top of the league table, especially after Real Madrid dropped points against Espanyol.
To celebrate the positive week, Hansi Flick had decided to give his team a day off today, to gear up for another gruelling week ahead.
Szczesny shows up to training
However, despite being given a day off, Wojciech Szczesny was present at the Ciutat Esportiva to train.
The Pole was the only Barcelona player to show up in training today, with the remaining teammates enjoying the day off, reports Jijantes.
It must be noted that having a day off is quite a rare occurrence under the leadership of Hansi Flick, who believes in consistency and commitment.

The former Arsenal goalkeeper has become a first-team regular for Barcelona in recent weeks, getting the nod ahead of Inaki Pena in both league and cup competitions.
Keeping that in mind, Szczesny does not want to waste any opportunity to train and keep himself fit.
At the same time, the veteran goalkeeper is eager to prove his determination and commitment to the team.
Such determination, though, has to be backed by performances. Fortunately, Szczesny hasn’t disappointed so far and has bagged three clean sheets in seven appearances so far, conceding just eight in the process.
