Ilkay Gundogan has become a scourge for Barcelona whenever the team comes up with a mediocre performance.
Tuesday’s loss to Paris Saint-Germain was one such case, with the midfielder launching a scathing criticism of the team’s performance on the night.
Gundogan notably pointed out Ronald Araujo’s mistake and raised eyebrows by openly pointing out flaws in the team’s performance.
Gundogan surprised by the controversy
Following Gundogan’s comments, controversy spread like wildfire, with many suggesting that there could be disharmony in the Barcelona dressing room.
However, Multiple sources have confirmed that there is no such disharmony in the dressing room between Gundogan and his teammates. In fact, many of his teammates have supported the midfielder’s remarks about the game.

The player’s entourage maintains that Gundogan had no intention of pointing out anyone, much less a teammate.
Gundogan and Araujo to meet on Friday
Much of Gundogan’s criticism was veiled towards Ronald Araujo, whose red card killed Barcelona’s chances of maintaining their slender lead against PSG.
During his new book presentation, Araujo was asked about Gundogan’s comments, but the player refused to comment.
Now, the report suggests that Gundogan plans to meet Araujo on Friday’s training session and sort out any potential tension between the two.
Gundogan does not want the controversy to turn into something big. Since the defeat, the two haven’t had the chance to talk face-to-face. But we can expect the matter to be resolved on Friday.
