Earlier this week, news broke claiming that Barcelona midfield superstar Frenkie de Jong is a subject of interest for Bayern Munich.
The Bavarian giants, who have already been linked with a move for Ronald Araujo, have set their sights on his teammate De Jong as well heading into the summer transfer window.
De Jong, 26, has been at Barça for five years now but has not flourished to the level that many expected of him.
As such, with Barcelona needing to generate revenue in the summer, the Netherlands international has emerged as a strong candidate to be sold in the summer.
Barcelona want €70 million minimum for De Jong
Now, as per The Daily Briefing, Barcelona are not ruling out the sale of Frenkie de Jong in the summer and will seek a fee of €70 million as a minimum for the midfielder.
As mentioned earlier, Bayern Munich are very much interested in the Netherlands international heading into the summer, following their failure to win the Bundesliga title this season.

However, the Blaugrana are not refusing to rule out a departure if an offer close to their asking price arrives once the season is over.
PSG were another club who were showing an interest in luring De Jong away from Barcelona in the summer. However, as per the latest update, the Ligue 1 champions have halted their pursuit of the midfielder.
Back in 2022, when Barcelona tried to offload De Jong to Manchester United, he dug his heels in and refused to leave.
With the midfielder not looking for an exit this time as well, whether he follows a similar course remains to be seen.
