Barcelona are anticipating a busy summer ahead, with the club likely to reinforce the squad with several signings.
According to Mundo Deportivo, one of the weak points for Barcelona is the attacking department and the club are likely to go after a new left-winger in the coming summer.
In fact, the Catalans have already identified three potential candidates in the market, in their attempt to shore up the flanks.
Gabriel Martinelli
The first option is Gabriel Martinelli. The Brazilian whizkid has been a star for Arsenal over the past few of years, thanks to productivity and versatility in the final third.
Martinelli’s performances were one of the main reasons behind Arsenal’s excellent campaign last season. Although the forward has failed to replicate such performances this time around, he remains a force to be reckoned with.
As such, Barcelona are keen on acquiring his services in the summer, although negotiations with Arsenal could prove to be tricky. Martinelli’s contract at Emirates expires in 2027, with the club having the option to extend for a further year.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
Barcelona are also keeping tabs on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The Georgian international was one of Europe’s best players last season.

Although Napoli have failed to maintain the same consistency this season, Kvaratskhelia has continued to emerge as their top performer.
The forward has 11 goal involvements in all competitions this season. However, luring the Napoli star could be tricky as well for Barça, considering the fact that he has a contract at Napoli until 2027.
Kaoru Mitoma
Plan C for Barcelona is Kaoru Mitoma. A native of Kawasaki, the Brighton & Hove Albion star has been taking the Premier League by storm.
Kawasaki joined Brighton in 2022 for a fee of just €3 million. And it has proven to be a bargain for the Premier League outfit, as the Japanese international has featured in 66 matches, racking up 27 goal involvements.
At 26, Mitoma is currently at the peak of his powers and could prove to be an excellent alternative for Martinelli and Kvaratskhelia.
However, Barcelona must note that Brighton are known to exorbitantly inflate the prices of their star players. The Catalans, therefore, must be careful in equating the correct valuation for the Japanese international.
