Barcelona weighing up loan move for Bayern 22-year-old Munich winger – report

One of the priorities for Barcelona for the summer transfer window is to reinforce the left flank, where they do not have any natural wingers.

Ferran Torres, Raphinha, and Lamine Yamal all prefer playing on the right and as for Joao Felix, even if he is signed permanently, the Portuguese is not a proper wide player.

As such, the Blaugrana remain on the lookout for an out-and-out winger to strengthen their options on the left flank.

Athletic Club’s Nico Williams remains a target despite signing a new contract in December, which contains a €50 million release clause.

Bryan Zaragoza an option

SPORT reports Barcelona are also keeping an eye on possible ‘low cost’ solutions, one of whom happens to be Bayern Munich winger Bryan Zaragoza.

The 22-year-old winger signed for the Bavarian giants from Granada during the January transfer window but has had a hard time in Germany so far.

Zaragoza has found it difficult to adapt to his new surroundings with the language barrier being a major hurdle. As such, he has played just 35 minutes of football since his winter move.

Bayern Munich will hire a new manager to replace Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season. But, if the new head coach does not count on the winger, Barcelona would consider making a loan move for him.

Prior to his move to Bayern, Zaragoza displayed a good level in La Liga. He had scored six and set up two more goals for Granada in 21 league outings this season.

The Spanish international can be a handy option on loan if Barcelona do decide to explore that avenue more seriously.

Much will depend on who replaces Tuchel at Bayern and whether that person counts on Zaragoza or not.
