Barcelona will look to sell La Masia forward in the summer, want to sign a replacement

Barcelona’s great revolution has finally reached its final step this summer transfer window – at least, in theory -, as they look to bring in the final few players that can paper over the cracks in the team.

They will also have to offload a fair few assets from their squad to be able to spend any money, and have made a list of players that should-could-would be sold.

Andreas Christensen and Jules Kounde are two players that could potentially earn Barcelona more than €50 million, each, and with the rise of Pau Cubarsi, could be offloaded without much dire consequences.

Similarly, Raphinha, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Ferran Torres, and recently even Robert Lewandowski have made the rounds in the Spanish press, with news about their potential departure circling.

There seems to be another addition to this list, now. A former wonderkid, if you will.

Fati expected to leave Barcelona

According to a report by SPORT, Ansu Fati will not return to Barcelona. His future lies out of the club.

Currently on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion, Fati was expected to revive his career there, after troublesome spells at Barcelona, marred with injuries.

However, the Spaniard has failed to impress at Brighton, so far, scoring two goals in 15 Premier League appearances, of which only three have been starts.

He was once expected to be the face of the club, and started his 2020/21 season brilliantly under Ronald Koeman, scoring four goals in five games, including one against Real Madrid in the 1-3 loss at home.

Barcelona will look for new left-wingers

Fati’s time at Barcelona seems to be done, and the club will not dive into the market hoping to sign a new left-winger who can take over the position in the long term.

Joao Felix is definitely an option that is being considered, as the club seem impressed with his loan tenure so far, unlike the fans.

There were also briefly reports claiming that Barça could be looking to sign a superstar left-winger in the summer to compete with Kylian Mbappe’s inevitable move to Real Madrid, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Rafael Leao among options.
