According to a report by Gabriel Sans in Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are already preparing for future transfer windows.

Interestingly, even though they have not set any specific priorities yet, the club is still creating extensive lists of players with different profiles to be ready for any urgent needs that may arise.

For that matter, Hansi Flick and Deco are in regular talks, but they have not held a dedicated meeting to discuss this winter’s transfer market or the next one. Several players are being closely monitored, but no final decisions have been made as of now.

Extensive research

It is said that the Barcelona coaches are actively travelling to watch domestic and international matches. Deco, in particular, has been flying out to observe certain games in person, showing the club’s commitment to scouting potential talent.

Barcelona’s current approach is to cover all positions equally. There is no single priority; the aim is to strengthen every part of the squad.

The club wants a comprehensive list of players for each role, considering factors like age, quality, and contract terms.

However, given the club’s financial situation, Barcelona are primarily targeting players who can be signed on free transfers to avoid large financial outlays.

Investment will be made

That said, Barcelona are willing to make significant investments if the right opportunity arises. The club would consider a deal similar to last summer’s pursuit of Dani Olmo.

The goal for Barcelona is to have a well-balanced, competitive squad with enough depth to cover all positions, which is any coach’s ideal scenario.

Right now, Flick will use the upcoming fixtures, especially the Champions League clash against Bayern Munich and the La Liga showdown with Real Madrid, as a test to see how his squad performs under pressure.

These matches will serve as an important assessment of the team’s strengths and weaknesses and could influence Barcelona’s transfer activity next summer if they identify any gaps that need to be filled.
