Barcelona winger ready for ‘difficult’ Bayern Munich game – ‘We are in a great moment’

Barcelona forward Raphinha has expressed a strong sense of motivation within the team as they prepare for a series of important matches, including highly anticipated encounters against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. 

He believes the team is in a fantastic place following a successful start to the season, and they are eager to maintain this momentum.

“We are in a great moment with a great start to the season,” he told Barça One.  

Raphinha emphasized that the squad is thoroughly prepared not only for these upcoming challenges but also for the matches that lie ahead. 

The players have been working diligently in training, focusing on their performance and aiming to secure the vital three points that are essential for their aspirations in the league. 

This determination stems from a collective effort to deliver results that will please the fans and keep the club’s title hopes alive.

“The team is well prepared for this match, not only for this match but for the other matches to come. We are working hard and the team is motivated to get the three points which is the most important thing for us,” he noted.

The forward acknowledged that tonight’s UEFA Champions League tie against Bayern Munich is expected to be a tough contest. 

“I think it will be a difficult game but to play for this club, you have to expect a game like this.”

Raphinha expects a dynamic match with attacking play from both teams, but he believes that the side that excels in defence will ultimately have a greater chance of emerging victorious. 

“It will be a bit of an attacking game from both sides. But in my opinion, the team that defends better will have a better chance of winning but as I said, we are working well and we are prepared and motivated for this game.”

Will play for the fans

Playing in front of their supporters at home adds extra significance to the match. Raphinha understands the difficulties of playing away and is hopeful that their opponents will find it challenging when facing Barcelona at their home ground. 

“It will be a very important game with our fans, we know how difficult it is to play away from home so we hope it will be difficult for our opponents at home.” 

He appealed to the fans for their support from the beginning to the end of the match, highlighting the importance of their energy and enthusiasm in boosting the team’s performance.

“I hope the fans will support us from the start, as they have done in all the games we have played here. I think winning will be the most important thing for us with the fans supporting us from the start until the last minute.”

Raphinha also shared his personal commitment to the team. He has been putting in considerable effort since returning from vacation and is proud to take on a leadership role, wearing the captain’s armband during certain matches. 

“I try to do my best for the team. I have worked hard since I came back from vacation. I am very excited to be one of the captains and wear the armband in some matches.”

For him, both the fans and the team are what truly matter, and he is determined to do his best to contribute to their success. 

“The fans and the team are the best for me,” he concluded.
