Barcelona are desperately trying to find ways to secure an exit in the winter transfer market so as to bring Marcus Rashford to Catalonia.
The English winger, who has excelled with Manchester United in recent years, has now fallen out of favour and is pushing to join Barcelona on a six-month loan.
To create space on the financial front, Joan Laporta and Co. have identified Ansu Fati and Eric Garcia as two players who can be sacrificed. With the former adamant about staying, however, the latter has emerged as a serious option to leave.
The current status
It has become clear in recent weeks that Girona and Como are the two clubs interested in signing Garcia from Barcelona this winter.
As relayed by Mundo Deportivo in a recent update, however, Barcelona are yet to receive an offer that satisfy their valuation of the player.

Como, on the other hand, is led by Barcelona legend Cesc Fabregas who sees Garcia as the perfect fit to lead the team’s defence and take them away from relegation troubles.
Garcia, however, is a player who the management highly values as he provides solutions not only at centre-back but also as a pivot on need.
His versatility, coupled with his experience and good performances so far this season make him a player who the club do not deem worth letting go of for a bargain price and they will thus not concede on their demands.
Should they not find the right offer, all signs thus point to them continuing with Garcia in the team and Rashford even possibly staying in Manchester until the end of the season.
