A recent report from Alex Pintanel has offered a comprehensive update on all Barcelona first-team players, as the club gear up for a busy week ahead.

Multiple players are expected to leave Barça over the next few days, with the likes of Ilkay Gundogan, Vitor Roque and Mika Faye closing in on exits.

There are many more players who can join the list, including Ansu Fati. The forward is still not a part of Hansi Flick’s plans for the new season, especially after his injury setback this summer.

What does Barcelona think of Fati?

Fati was one of the most impressive performers in training during Flick’s first week in charge of Barcelona. But he soon picked up an injury, which prevented him from taking part in the pre-season tour to the United States.

Following another injury setback, Barça made the decision to sell Fati this summer, although their approach has been slightly more cautious.

As per Juanmarti, however, Fati’s injury this summer has not changed Barcelona’s plans of offloading him this summer.

What does Fati think of Barcelona?

Fati, for his part, though, is not too keen on leaving Barcelona. He remains about his objective – stay at the club and fight for his place in the first team.

It appears the Spaniard is desperate to prove himself after a rough couple of years that saw him fall behind in the pecking order.

Moreover, Barcelona are yet to make any movements regarding Fati’s exit and with time running out, one can be forgiven for expecting the forward to end up staying at the club this season.

Fati’s prolonged stay at Barça can prove to be a blessing in disguise, considering there are many attackers in the Barcelona camp, who are facing an uncertain future at the club. Fati’s presence, therefore, can offer Flick with more depth in the final third.
