Barry Keoghan opened up about bringing an iconic villain to life in The Batman. If you were unaware, the 32-year-old actor made a brief cameo in the 2022 movie, which starred Robert Pattinson. The appearance introduced him as The Joker, an iconic role played by the likes of Heath Ledger, Jack Nicholson, Jared Leto and Joaquin Phoenix. Fans have been wondering if Barry would bring DC’s Clown Prince of Crime to life in the forthcoming sequel ever since the movie premiered. In a new interview, the actor revealed what he knew and reflected on bringing the character to life. Keep reading to find out more… “It’s iconic, and the people before me have… you know, it’s just iconic performances,” Barry said about the character’s legacy on screen. Would he reprise the role? “I am going to say that, you know, if the opportunity came about, yes I’d love to explore and, given that opportunity, really dive into it. But, I’ve not been contacted and I’ve not heard anything so I can’t…” Barry added that he “had a great time” filming the first movie and reflected on the process of getting into make. “All I can say is, if the opportunity came about, yes,” he reiterated.
