Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has pledged his administration’s commitment to fostering security and the well-being of the state citizenry.
Bala made the pledge during the opening of the State Security Council meeting behind closed doors at the Executive Chamber of the Government House Bauchi on Thursday.
The governor expressed his concern on the rising issues of security among border communities with neighbouring states which he attributed to the mass migration from the neighboring states posed with security threats.
He said, “The security heads should beef up security to areas facing security threats across the state.
“There is a need for robust preparation as we set to host an investment summit for the first time in the history of our state.”
He commended the sacrifice of the security heads in the State which according to him has been instrumental to the peaceful atmosphere being enjoyed across the state.
The governor also applauded the traditional institution for their contributions to the security and well-being of the State indigents and solicited more support.
PUNCH correspondent reports that for the first time, the State Security meeting was attended by the six emirs of Bauchi, Katagum, Misau, Jama’are, Ningi and Dass alongside the state security heads.
