It’s been something of a rollercoaster ride for Bayern Munich so far in 2023/24, and that lack of stability has seen the club already make a decision with Thomas Tuchel for the manager to leave at the end of the current season.
The board had already seen Tuchel’s men downed in the second round of the DFB-Pokal to third tier Saarbrucken as well as a 5-1 hammering against Eintracht Frankfurt.
If that weren’t bad enough, a 3-0 loss to Bayer Leverkusen, currently unbeaten at the top of the Bundesliga, and a 3-2 defeat to 11th placed Bochum was the final straw.

After 11 straight German top-flight title wins, Bayern now find themselves eight points behind Leverkusen with only 14 games left to play.
Given how the Bavarians are playing at present, it would take a minor miracle to see them claw back the points required to make it a dozen titles in a row.
Dier mirrors Bayern performances
Part of their problem is that players are underperforming week in and week out, perhaps none more so than Tottenham Hotspur loanee, Eric Dier.

Given he was specifically a Tuchel signing, it’s clear that he will return to North London once the manager goes.
It would be a huge surprise if Harry Kane, another Tuchel demand, follows him out of the exit door, however, that will depend on who comes in and what formation and set up they decide upon.
