Bayern have had enough of Davies

Bayern Munich does not want to wait any longer regarding Alphonso Davies. Either the player agrees to extend his contract or he will be pushed out this summer.

Arriving from Vancouver in January 2019, Alphonso Davies has established himself on the left wing of Bayern Munich’s defense. But five and a half years later, the Canadian international seems to want to try his luck elsewhere, particularly at Real Madrid. For its part, Bayern would like to keep him and has offered him an extension to which the player has not responded. With one year left on Davies’ contract, the Bavarian club no longer wants to wait and is ready to sell him.

At least that’s what the German press has suggested, through Maximilian Kock. According to the journalist, Bayern’s management has decided to move up a gear in this matter. It has thus been decided to no longer make any offers to the defender who, if he really does not want to extend, will be sold to the highest bidder. The fear of seeing him leave for free in a year, without Bayern recovering a cent, is not viewed favorably by the Munich management.

Waiting for an offer

And it is all the more necessary to take advantage of every opportunity to replenish the coffers, since the German club spent almost 130 million euros this summer to attract Palhinha, Olise and Ito. Although it has set a price of at least fifty million euros for Alphonso Davies, Bayern knows that it should not receive an offer of that amount. However, it is ready to listen to any possible proposals.

Time is running out for the player and his club. If he doesn’t want to risk being left out for the entire season by refusing to extend, the Canadian may choose to water down his wine a little. If Real Madrid comes up with a sufficient offer, however, the situation could settle down sooner than expected. A lesser evil for everyone?
