Bayern lost to Lazio this Wednesday in the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League (1-0).

If it’s not the crisis at Bayern, it’s seriously starting to look like it. Four days after being beaten by Leverkusen in the Bundesliga (3-0), thus being left behind by a leading Bayer, the Munich flagship club once again suffered a major disappointment this Wednesday in the Champions League.

Facing the Romans of Lazio, on the latter’s lawn, the Bavarians fell again (1-0), surprised in the second half by a penalty converted by Immobile (69e). A gift then conceded by the unfortunate Upamecano, at fault on Isaksen and finally expelled for this big sole by Mr. Letexier, the French referee of this round of 16 first leg.

Tuchel threatened?

Certainly dominant but unable to target even the slightest of its shots (16 in total), Bayern will have to do much better in three weeks in Germany to claim to turn things around and earn their place in the quarter-finals of the C1. In the meantime, the future of Thomas Tuchel on the bench is likely to be debated in Munich, where we know the patience of the leaders is limited.
