Bayern Munich confirm Eric Dier signing on loan as he reunites with ex-Tottenham teammate Harry Kane

Bayern Munich have completed a deal to sign Eric Dier on loan until the end of the season, the club have confirmed.

The Tottenham defender, who is out of contract in the summer, moves to Germany on loan with the option for a further year.

The 29-year-old started his career in Portugal with Sporting Lisbon and joined Tottenham in the summer of 2014.

In the nine and a half years that followed, Dier made 365 appearances for Spurs.

During that time, the versatile star helped Tottenham to the Champions League final in 2019, where they lost to Liverpool, as well as two EFL Cup finals in 2015 and 2021.

Speaking of his move, Dier said in an interview Bayern’s media channel: “This move is a dream come true for me, because even as a child you want to play for clubs like FC Bayern one day.

“FC Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world and has an incredible history."

The move will see Dier link back up with friend and former teammate, Harry Kane.

The England striker completed his move to Germany over the summer and wasted little time in making an impression, scoring 25 goals in 22 games for his new employers
