The most unlikely of sources drew first blood in the top-of-the-table face-off between Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich.

Josip Stanisic, who is not only on-loan from Bayern but a clear second-choice right back behind Jeremie Frimpong, incredibly opened the scoring.

Leverkusen started the game on top, and after narrowly missing the chance to go ahead just after 15 minutes, they kept the pressure on and scored with their next chance.

Robert Andrich found space on the left hand side of Bayern's box, and picked out Stanisic all-alone at the far post to tap in.

The Munich-born 23-year-old lifted his hands in the air to apologise, but that didn't last long as he was bundled on by Granit Xhaka and Co.

A win would send Leverkusen five points clear at the top of the Bundesliga with 13-games to go, increasing the chances that Bayern's 11-year league winning streak could come to an end.

And this could see Harry Kane remain trophyless for another year.
