Following an excellent start to the season, the onus will be on Barcelona to maintain their form ahead of a difficult set of fixtures.

Indeed, the Catalans are set to face Sevilla, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid in their next three matches.

Despite all the clamour around El Clasico, the clash against Bayern will certainly be the headline encounter, as Hansi Flick looks to face his former club.

Big boost for Bayern Munich

Unfortunately for Barcelona, though, Bayern Munich have been handed a major boost heading into this crucial clash.

As reported by SportBILD (h/t AS), Bayern superstar Jamal Musiala has returned to training just a week before the Barcelona match.

It appears the German international has trained without the ball for 15 minutes with a physio while also doing some light exercises.

Musiala had been out of action for two weeks owing to a hip problem, which saw him miss an important Bundesliga encounter against Eintracht Frankfurt. Needless to say, the game ended in a draw.

Bayern Munich hope for the best

The report adds that Musiala remains doubtful for the upcoming league game against VfB Stuttgart on Saturday.

However, the Bavarians are hopeful that the youngster can return to action for the Champions League game against Barcelona next week.

This could prove to be a massive boost for Bayern, as Musiala is arguably their biggest source of creativity.

Having already been involved in six goals this season, it is needless to say that the German’s presence in the game could go a long way in boosting Bayern’s chances of securing all three points.

Barcelona, therefore, must come up with a cohesive plan for stopping Musiala. Thankfully for the Blaugrana, coach Hansi Flick is well aware of the youngster’s playstyle and weaknesses, which could be integral as the Catalans look to take revenge next week.
