Who said it wouldn’t end well between Thomas Tuchel (51) and Bayern Munich? Ousted at the end of last season, despite a last attempt by both parties to extend the adventure a little further, the German coach has found a prestigious position. He has just been named England coach, a job he will officially hold from January 1, 2025 until the 2026 World Cup scheduled for Canada, the United States and Mexico.

He will therefore be able to officially end his contract with the Bavarian club, which still ran until June 2025. For financial reasons, he was not fired by his former employer, who continues to pay him his salary until the end of his commitment, or until he finds a new bench. According to Sky Sport GermanyTuchel had also agreed to give up 30% of his salary if he found a position before the end of his term with Bayern. Thus, Bayern will be able to save €3 million on the annual €9 million of its former coach.
