Bayern Munich now wants to throw Alphonso Davies out!

The future of Alphonso Davies has been talked about for months, if not years, in Munich. It is even very likely that this issue has already annoyed more than one Bavarian fan… At the end of his contract in 2025, the powerful and fast Canadian full-back was negotiating an extension with the German giant, even if the trend was rather negative, especially in view of the large sums demanded by the defender.

“We are not under pressure. There is a normal relationship between the player and the club. It is a normal situation. I do not want to negotiate in public. I do not want to do that. We believe that we have made a fair and correct offer.”confided the club’s Munich sports director Max Eberl at the end of May. Since then, the situation has not really changed, while the player is at the Copa América with his national team.

Bayern got fed up

Recently, it was also said that Real Madrid, the main candidate to secure his services, had calmed down a bit and was no longer so interested. And now Kicker reveals a small bombshell. Seeing that the file had been on hold for too long, Bayern Munich decided to sell Davies this summer. A big news, since the trend was rather, in the event that no agreement was found, for a departure in 2025 at the end of the contract. The Munich management therefore showed the door to its player, present at the club since 2019.

It remains to be seen who will be interested in his services. Real Madrid currently seem happy with Ferland Mendy, and have other cheaper options like Miguel Gutierrez (co-owned with Girona) to provide competition for the Frenchman. The Premier League could therefore be a credible option. Especially since Bayern are spending wildly with over €100 million on the Olise-Palinha duo, and will surely want to bring some fresh cash into the accounts…
