Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich is ‘open’ to talks with potential buyers with Arsenal and Liverpool in the race to sign him, according to reports.
The German champions are reportedly prepared to sell Kimmich if a suitable offer comes in during the summer transfer window at the end of the season.
Kimmich, regarded as one of the best midfielders in the world, is open to discussions with five clubs – including English duo Arsenal and Liverpool.
But fellow Premier League sides Manchester United and Chelsea are ‘not an option’ for the 29-year-old, who is also set to snub Paris-Saint Germain.
Arsenal and Liverpool will instead battle it out with Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona to sign Kimmich while Manchester City are also in the race.
It is believed that ‘some’ of those five clubs have already made contact with Kimmich over a possible move.
Newcastle United made an ambitious bid to sign Kimmich in January but he was not prepared to leave Bayern Munich mid-season.
Kimmich, who is out of contract in the summer of 2025, has made 378 appearances for Bayern Munich to date, producing 102 assists and 41 goals.
But Old Trafford is not seen as an option for Kimmich as the Red Devils plot a massive squad rebuild under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
