Bayern Munich: the deadly development of the Alphonso Davies clan

The summer transfer window has not yet started, but the Alphonso Davies series is already setting fire. Under contract until 2025 with Bayern Munich, the Canadian is very popular with Real Madrid, who want to recruit him to strengthen the left-back position. The 23-year-old's versatility is also highly appreciated within Casa Blanca. In Spain, several media even announced that Davies had chosen to join the residents of the Santiago-Bernabéu stadium. Others have not come forward as much and have even indicated that the Madrilenians are not ready to go to all the madness to recruit him.

At the same time, Bayern Munich continued to push to extend their player. The leaders have been talking with Davies' entourage for a year. But the departure of the former sports director, Hasan Salihamidžić, changed the situation. He was the one who managed this file and the Munich bosses had to pick it up along the way. Bild explains that they put pressure on the player by telling him that his contract is ready and that all that is missing is his signature. The Davies clan is furious

“We made Alphonso a very concrete and grateful offer. At some point in life, you have to say yes or no., he said. But the Bavarians, who want to be quickly fixed, have visibly lacked tact. Bild indicates that Alphonso Davies should refuse this final offer. His agent, Nick Huoseh, said: “it’s not fair that Alphonso is now being attacked. We were close to an agreement a year ago. Then the entire club management was replaced. We didn't hear anything for seven months. Although during this time I tried to contact the club myself.”

He pursues : “now we are given an ultimatum and are supposed to react within two weeks because the club is under pressure and has taken a long time to reposition itself within the management? It is not fair. (…) This is a very important contract in Alphonso's career and we are supposed to make the decision without knowing who will be the coach next season, or what the team looks like. This is why we think it is unfair to issue the ultimatum.” The rag is therefore burning between the two camps. And in this little war, it is the player who has the upper hand since he is in a position of strength one year from the end of his lease. He can decide to stay whatever happens or to leave.
