It’s a soap opera of the winter transfer window. Looking for a right defender for several weeks, Bayern Munich had counted on the arrival of Kieran Trippier (33 years old). However, the Bavarians are confronted with refusals from the English club. After an initial failure, the German champion club tried again with an offer of 15 million euros for the English international (45 caps). But again, according to The Athletic, Newcastle refuses to let their captain leave this winter. Arriving two years ago from Atlético de Madrid, he is the first player recruited from the Saudi era of the Public Investment Fund (PIF).

One week before the end of the transfer window, time is running out for Thomas Tuchel’s team. Nordi Mukiele (26), current PSG player and who knows the Bundesliga well having spent four years at RB Leipzig, is also on Bayern’s list. However, the negotiations are difficult and are not progressing any more than those for Kieran Trippier. In the absence of Noussair Mazraoui (CAN) and Bouna Sarr (long-term injury), the Bavarians currently have no choice in playing Konrad Laimer in this position.
