Bayley discusses working with Triple H.
During her rise to stardom, Bayley was one of the “NXT kids” when Triple H was running the brand. Her success continued on the main roster under Vince McMahon. When Triple H took over WWE creative in 2022, Bayley started a new chapter as she led Damage CTRL. In 2024, Bayley has won the Royal Rumble and captured the WWE Women’s Championship.
Speaking on the Rob Brown Show, Bayley shared her thoughts on working with Triple H. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription)
“I still can’t believe the era we’re in right now,” Bayley said. “Us NXT kids that grew up with him in that era are super lucky that he’s so familiar with us. We got a little taste of it then, but it’s so different now where it’s on a much larger scale, and somehow he still makes time for everybody. In NXT it was different, we were a smaller roster and smaller arena to fill.
“Even now, he still makes time for us, from top to bottom from Randy Orton to me to anybody on the show. That helps the feeling backstage. He makes you feel seen and like he has your best interest at heart. That does a lot for our morale and goes a long way.”
Bayley lost the WWE Women’s Championship to Nia Jax at WWE SummerSlam. Jax beat her in a rematch at WWE Bad Blood.
WrestleZone will have coverage of WWE SmackDown as it airs on Friday.
