Newcastle United played out a draw against Bournemouth at the weekend and BBC pundit Nedum Onuoha has heaped praise on Matt Ritchie.
The experienced Newcastle United player came on late in the game to score the equaliser. Ritchie has struggled for regular game time at Newcastle and he will be hoping to get more opportunities after his impressive strike against Bournemouth.
Onuoha believes that the experienced Newcastle player will now demand more minutes from the manager Eddie Howe and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
“Matt Ritchie, the forgotten man at Newcastle scoring the equaliser against his former side Bournemouth a minute after coming on in added time,” he said.
“And I tell you what, he’s going to be knocking on that door saying more minutes gaffer please, more minutes!”

Ritchie is at the twilight stage of his career and he needs to play more often. If Newcastle cannot provide him with that opportunity. He should look to play for another club next season.
He has been a proven performer in the Premier League over the years and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.
