BBC Sets Cast For ‘Two Weeks In August‘ Disaster Drama
Casting has been set for BBC disaster drama Two Weeks in August. Jessica Raine (The Devil’s Hour, Patrick Melrose) stars as Zoe, Damien Molony (Bergerac, Brassic) is her troubled husband Dan and the cast also features Nicholas Pinnock (For Life, The Book of Clarence) as their old friend Solomon and Antonia Thomas (The Good Doctor, Still Up) as his new wife Jess, alongside Leila Farzad (Kaos, I Hate Suzie) and Hugh Skinner (Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!, Fleabag) as uni friends Nat and Jacob. Revealed by Deadline in February, the show comes from Shrink Next Door scribe Catherine Shepherd and I May Destroy You producer Various Artists. Set in Greece, it tells the story of a woman who goes on holiday with her family and friends to rediscover joy in her life. But, here in paradise, what starts with an illicit kiss quickly turns the dream vacation into a nightmare. Additional cast are Dolly Wells (Dracula), Tom Goodman-Hill (Baby Reindeer), Dylan Brady (Mary & George), Maria Almeida (The Strays), Khalil Gharbia (The Lost Boys), Florence Banks (The New Look), Sonny Poon Tip (Industry), Cassius Hackforth (Doctor Who), and introducing Eliza and Anthony Lambon.
Property Masters Guild To Launch Publication
The Property Masters Guild will host an event on April 17 to officially launch its flagship publication, Prop Culture. Published quarterly in January, April, June, and August, the magazine will feature interviews and profiles of prop artists. The magazine is edited by Theresa Corvino and Scott Buckwald. “As Property Masters, we work in a hands-on artistic field, bringing props to life in ways that elevate stories and make them more immersive,” Corvino and Buckwald said. “Prop Culture is an extension of that. It’s something you can hold, collect, and truly engage with, much like the props we create.”
Disney+ Unveils ‘Stolen Girl’ Trailer
Disney+ has unveiled trailer for The Stolen Girl from Fool Me Once outfit Quay Street and Brightstar. The psychological drama stars Ambika Mod, Holliday Grainger, Jim Sturgess and Denise Gough. The show follows Elisa (Gough) and Fred Blix (Sturgess). When their daughter Lucia (Beatrice Cohen) goes missing after what appears to be a normal sleepover with a school friend, the couple’s mundane existence spirals into chaos.
