In Mahabubnagar, people paid tribute to Bindeshwar Prasad (BP) Mandal on his 106th birth anniversary. Members of the BC Samaj Association honored him by placing flowers at his statue and remembering his work for the upliftment of backward classes in India.
The event was led by BC Samaj state secretary, M. Srinivas Sagar, who organized a grand celebration. He emphasized that due to BP Mandal’s efforts, the BC communities are now benefiting from reservations. Many BC associations, students, and leaders came together at Telangana Square to celebrate this occasion.
Srinivas Sagar also highlighted that BP Mandal was a significant figure in Indian politics. He was known for his unwavering commitment to the rights of Backward Classes (BCs). Elected to the Bihar Assembly in 1952 and later to the District Council at just 23 years old, Mandal’s career was marked by his courage to stand up for the oppressed.
