The Chairman of Obio/Akpo local government area of Rivers State, Chijioke Ihunwo, has advised President Bola Tinubu to be careful with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.
Chijioke Ihunwo alleged that the former governor of Rivers State wants to contest against President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Ihunwo, who said this in a video he posted on his X handle on Thursday, stated that Wike would deceive the President with the promise that he would remain in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for his advantage.
He further alleged that Wike would give the same treatment he gave former Governor Rotimi Amechi, who brought him into politics, to President Tinubu.
“I like to tell Nigerians that Wike has plans to run for president in 2027. So Mr President should be wary about Wike.
“His plan is one, he will tell Mr. President, I want to remain in PDP let me hold the structure for you. Then he is doing a back follow up on how to succeed Mr. President. He did it to Amechi, so he can do it to anybody that is his lifestyle.
“So I want to appeal Mr. President to be very wary about, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of FCT,” Ihunwo said.
