After Vinicius Jr’s defeat at the Ballon d’Or, Barça fans are driving home the point.
Rodri’s triumph during the 68th edition of the Ballon d’Or, on October 28 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, was synonymous with great disillusionment for Vinicius Jr. Announced as the big favorite to succeed Lionel Messi, crowned in 2023, the Real Madrid striker ultimately finished in second place, behind the Spaniard, but ahead of teammate Jude Bellingham.
This disappointment did not escape FC Barcelona supporters, who took the opportunity to tease the Brazilian striker. Before the Catalan derby between Barça and Espanyol Barcelona (3-1) this Sunday in La Liga, they sang a mocking song:
“Vinicius, beach ball, beach ball, Vinicius, beach ball. »
Atlético Madrid joins the choir
This refrain even resonated as far as the Spanish capital. The Atlético Madrid members sang this song during the Colchoneros’ victory against Las Palmas (2-0) last night.
We can expect that the supporters of the other rivals of the White House will continue to take it up in the next matches against the Madrilenians. Note that Real will host Osasuna next Saturday at the Santiago Bernabéu in the league, after their duel against AC Milan this Tuesday in the Champions League.
