Becky Lynch is The Man of WWE and she has reached a level very few professional wrestlers in general have been able to reach. Many view her as a WWE-lifer and now Lynch has disclosed her contractual status ahead of WrestleMania 40.
Becky Lynch’s WWE contract is due to expire in June 2024, and she has shared insights into her future plans ahead of any negotiations. In the past, Lynch expressed that WWE is her “home” and indicated that it would be the company where she retires.
While speaking to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful during the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff green carpet event, Becky Lynch offered further insights into her future. Sean Ross Sapp mentioned that WWE stars could now assert “pay up” given the company’s strong financial performance, including the recently signed $5 billion multi-year Netflix deal.
Lynch made it clear that is her intention in light of the company’s booming business and explained how signing a contract is more about how the future would look.
“That’s just what you do. I think, more than anything, it’s about deciding what the future looks like. What is the best avenue for the future, and what are the goals and what do you want to achieve? Then, you make decisions intelligently.”
At the WWE WrestleMania 40 Kickoff show, Becky Lynch made a surprise appearance, interrupting Rhea Ripley and setting her sights on the WWE Women’s World Champion ahead of their Elimination Chamber qualification match on February 24, 2024.
