Becky Lynch is currently on her media rounds ahead of WrestleMania 40. On WrestleMania Saturday, Lynch will be challenging Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Heavyweight Championship. As part of her media rounds, she sat down for an interview on the iHeart Radio’s The Breakfast Club. During the interview, Lynch was asked about another star who has a major match on WrestleMania Saturday. It is none other than The Rock.

Becky Lynch mentioned that having The Great One involved in WWE once again has been great. She also mentioned that anything The Final Boss is involved in is always fantastic. She also shared that The Rock has been someone who has encouraged her throughout her career.

“Yeah, it’s been great. It’s been great anytime The Rock is involved in anything. Yeah, it’s been awesome. And he’s always been so great to me and encouraging in my career and to have him back and watch him do his thing has been amazing,” Becky Lynch said.

The Rock will also be present at the WWE World event this Thursday.

Becky Lynch is convinced that she should be paid as much as the top guy

During her recent interview with Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour, Becky Lynch revealed that nobody has discussed anything about a new contract with her. While speaking on The Breakfast Club podcast, Lynch mentioned that she does not see any reason why she shouldn’t be paid as much as the top male star in WWE.

“The last contract I signed was three years ago, and I was coming back after having my kid,” Becky Lynch said. “But when I left, I left on top, and you know, it’s one of those things where, sometimes in a male-dominated sport, we’re historically…’Thank you, thank you for that, I don’t want to make any waves.’ But it was one of those things where I was like, no, I deserve this. There’s no reason that I should not be getting paid the same as a top guy or anybody. Because of my gender? No.

“You can put me in any main event, you can put me in any main event and it makes sense. I’ve proved that time and time again, so compensate me fairly, please [laughs. But I think it is that thing of having to ask for more. Like, ‘Oh, I’m so grateful that you’re paying me more than we used to be paid, but still I need more.’ So you’re always kind of pushing that barrier, and it’s come a long way. I love to see it.”
