Becky Lynch talks fighting for equal pay.

Becky Lynch is one of WWE’s top stars. She is a Grand Slam Champion, and she made history when she headlined WrestleMania 35. Lynch recently confirmed that she only has two months left on her contract.

Speaking on The Breakfast Club, Becky Lynch was asked about fighting for equal pay.

“The last contract I signed was three years ago, and I was coming back after having my kid,” Becky Lynch said. “But when I left, I left on top, and you know, it’s one of those things where, sometimes in a male-dominated sport, we’re historically…’Thank you, thank you for that, I don’t want to make any waves.’ But it was one of those things where I was like, no, I deserve this. There’s no reason that I should not be getting paid the same as a top guy or anybody. Because of my gender? No.

“You can put me in any main event, you can put me in any main event and it makes sense. I’ve proved that time and time again, so compensate me fairly, please [laughs. But I think it is that thing of having to ask for more. Like, ‘Oh, I’m so grateful that you’re paying me more than we used to be paid, but still I need more.’ So you’re always kind of pushing that barrier, and it’s come a long way. I love to see it.”
