Despite the disappointing results in preparation, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti remains optimistic and is counting on the return of his stars to get things back on track. The Italian coach also allowed himself to tell an unpublished anecdote about one of them, the darling of English football Jude Bellingham.

Deprived of several of its stars, Real Madrid continues its pre-season tour in the United States with a new defeat against Barça (2-1) this Sunday, after a setback against AC Milan (1-0) on Thursday.

In front of the media, Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti shared a funny anecdote about Jude Bellingham, absent from the Merengues’ preparation. “We are in contact. Yesterday I was angry with Bellingham because I called him and he didn’t answer. I told Vinicius to call him and he answered.”revealed the Italian technician in comments relayed by Sports world.

UEFA Super Cup in sight

The Mister also praised the excellent physical condition of Vinicius, the number 7 of the Blancos, who played 33 minutes against the Blaugranas. “Vinicius played his last match on July 6, a month ago. He rested for 15 days and then he started working. It’s not like when I was a player, when he did nothing for a month and he was fat. He’s fine, he’s back in shape and he needs minutes.”he explained.

Ancelotti also detailed his plans for the full return of his squad, expected to train on August 6 ahead of the UEFA Super Cup match against Atalanta on August 14.

“When they come back, we will have to work together and create an atmosphere before the first match”added Don Carlo.
