Ben Chilwell managed to rile Chelsea fans with his post-match interview after their defeat to Wolves.

The Blues suffered yet more misery on the pitch with a 4-2 defeat at Stamford Bridge to Gary O'Neil's side that pushed Mauricio Pochettino's side into the bottom half of the Premier League.

Manager Pochettino is under pressure now with back-to-back demoralising defeats to Liverpool and Wolves - conceding four goals in each.

The fans appeared to turn on the boss at Stamford Bridge, and even Thiago Silva's wife called for a change in a post on social media.

Chilwell added more fuel to the frustrations of Chelsea supporters, too.

When asked what the different between the two sides were, he told Sky Sports: "I think they probably showed they wanted it more.

"Of course we do want it, but they probably showed it a bit more on the pitch.

"50/50s, running more... there's no excuses. As soon as they scored the first goal they pretty much dominated the rest of the game and we have to look at ourselves."

Reacting to the comments from Chilwell, one person wrote on X: "Wanted it more, that's embarrassing."

Another said: "Imagine John Terry saying this."

A third added: "One of the worst things you could say. YOU should want it more."

Next up for Chelsea is a fourth round FA Cup replay against Aston Villa on Wednesday before a trip to Crystal Palace at the weekend.

It could be a defining week for Pochettino as Blues manager, who despite the league form, has guided the club into the Carabao Cup final.
