Karim Benzema distinguished himself this Thursday evening in the colours of Al-Ittihad.

Second day of the championship and second victory for Al-Ittihad, this time at the expense of Al-Taawon, in a narrow victory (2-1), after a short success already acquired on the pitch of Al-Kholood (0-1).

While the Jeddah club was trailing on its pitch after an hour of play, Karim Benzema managed to put the record straight with a superb Madjer (1-1, 70e).

It was finally at the end of the suspense and added time that Al-Ittihad was able to make the difference, on a penalty converted by another former French international, Houssem Aouar (2-1, 90e+8).

In the standings, Karim Benzema’s teammates, including N’Golo Kanté and Moussa Diaby, are on the right track at the start of the season, with the defending champion Al-Hilal, Al-Qadsiah and Al-Ettifaq.
