Bertrand Latour’s first appearance on the Canal Champions Club set suggests severe confrontations with Samir Nasri, Canal’s star consultant…
Three days after his debut at Canal Football Club, Bertrand Latour had his first Champions League evening on Canal, Wednesday. The former L’Equipe player was on the Canal Champions Club set for the clash between PSG and Girona alongside Hervé Mathoux, Laure Boulleau and Samir Nasri. And for many viewers, this baptism was marked by palpable tension between the 31-year-old journalist and the former OM player.
“Bertrand Latour and Samir Nasri, it’s going to be hot this season”, “Lol Samir Nasri, he’s here to destroy Bertrand Latour”, “Nasri can’t stand Bertrand Latour anymore”, “Nasri must hate Bertrand Latour so much”, “Mmmmh Latour Nasri, it’s not going to last”, “Samir Nasri and Bertrand Latour, they’re going to be so crazy on the show one day”, “Samir Nasri and Bertrand Latour, they’re going to be so crazy on the show one day”, “In 3 months, Nasri and Latour are going to be banging 100%”…These are some of the comments that have flourished on Twitter as the two men analysed PSG’s sluggish performance.
Latour and Nasri disagree
While Bertrand Latour and Samir Nasri both agreed that PSG had been disappointing, the journalist wanted to remember the victory, which was necessarily valuable for confidence. The former Gunner, for his part, deplored the level of play displayed. “Before the game, everyone was saying ‘A new PSG. New attitudes’. After these 90 minutes in the Champions League, I didn’t see any of that, he launched. It’s still a good thing they won against Girona! PSG are supposed to be a credible candidate for the final victory in the Champions League. If I don’t win 1-0 against Girona… I have the right not to have liked the PSG match.
And while Bertrand Latour insisted on the accounting aspect of this victory, Samir Nasri wanted to be more scathing. “There, which Girona player is a starter at PSG? None! I’m not taking any, even on the bench, he added. We are consultants and I have to settle for a narrow 1-0 home win in the 89th minute?
